Carinthia - start-up hub in Southern Austria

The Austrian Province of Carinthia was an official partner of this largest start-up event in the Alpine-Adriatic region for the first time this year in cooperation with BABEG, build!Gründerzentrum and the Carinthian Business Development Fund KWF and ABA | Austrian Business Agency.

1,000 participants including innovative start-ups, investors from around the world, stakeholders of the Alpine-Adriatic business ecosystem and entrepreneurs met for two days at the Habakuk Hotel in Maribor. PODIM is one of the largest start-up events in Europe. With its legendary presentations and keynotes, live pitches and B2B meetings, the focus of the event is always on networks and networking.

PODIM as opportunity for Carinthian start-ups

The first official PODIM event partnership was a great opportunity for the start-up hub Carinthia and build!Gründerzentrum, the top 10 Carinthian start-up companies, the Carinthian Business Development Fund KWF and ABA | Austrian Business Agency to present themselves to the PODIM crowd. The representatives from Carinthia also engaged in one-on-one meetings and discussions.
