The company settled in Carinthia in 2016 and over the last few months, has been redeveloping and renovating the former PTS site in Klagenfurt. The ultra-modern site offers all storage and logistics services, a call centre, order collection, customer services, administration and financial and management services. 200 to 250 new jobs should be created in the long-term.

DMC Shop primarily sells household, kitchen and sports items and currently has around 250 different products in its portfolio. These products can also be purchased by customers directly from its approx. 200 m² ‘DMC Shop Outlet’ on Ebenthaler Strasse.

“There are various reasons as to why we selected Klagenfurt as a site,” said Managing Director Fernando di Filip during the opening ceremony. “We looked around Hamburg and Vienna but here in Carinthia, there are good development possibilities at the interface with the Alpen-Adria region”. There was also a rapid engagement with the banks and investors. And the town and state also supported the business development. The newly established Italian company will officially begin operation on July 3.
