The theme of the evening was Carinthia and Austria as a business location and the opportunities and possibilities that they present for German companies. In addition to the classic issues concerning the tax and legal conditions in Austria, the main aim was to present Carinthia to its German neighbour as a place of research and innovation. Andreas Kercek, Lakeside Labs, spoke briefly about the research scene in Carinthia and focused on Carinthia’s key research field of ‘self-organised networked systems’.

The 40+ entrepreneurs from the region appeared impressed by the opportunities Carinthia and Austria have to offer. The programme was rounded off by personal discussions following the business dialogue and this gave participants the chance to chat with the speakers directly.
